School of Jewellery Making
The Carat Shop School of Jewellery Making
Sharing our knowledge and skills in the Jewellery making industry
Over the years, there has been a huge increase in the number of people interested in making jewellery as a hobby, finding it relaxing and therapeutic, or interested in using their skills to earn extra income.
Jewellery making classes are relaxing, sociable and rewarding. You will learn new skills, meet new people, and any jewellery made on the day is yours to keep.
Many of our past and present students have used their new skills and knowledge to exhibit at craft fairs, sell on-line or simply create their own designs for gifts to friends and family.
We have over 15 years experience in making, designing, retailing and teaching in the Jewellery Industry. We offer courses suitable for complete beginners to those looking to improve their techniques at an advanced level.
All our courses are tutored by our in house Goldsmith Claire Reilly Bachelor of Arts in Jewellery Design and Manufacture. We are one of a very small number of companies who offer Jewellery courses tutored by a qualified Jeweller.
We provide a variety of courses covering beaded jewellery, silver smithing, wirework and artclay at a beginner, intermediate and advanced level.
Our classes are small with lots of one on one tuition and individual assistance.
Private tuition is available on request.
A Lesson includes:
- Tuition from a qualified instructor
- Use of all tools and equipment
